Managing Users
The Users page shows everyone with access to your Text-Em-All account, along with their role, status, and when they last signed in. Account Owners and Admins can edit user information, change roles, disable access, and re-enable users who need to return.

What information does the Users page show?
The Users page in Settings lists every user on your account, including those who have been disabled. By default it only displays currently active, or "enabled," users. Each row shows four pieces of information:
- Name: the user's full name
- Username: the username they use to sign in, which may or may not match their email address
- Role: Account Owner, Admin, or User
- Last Access: the date and time of the user's most recent sign-in, along with their current status of Enabled or Disabled
Click a column heading to sort the list, and use the Rows per page menu at the bottom to display more users at once.
Note: The Users page is only visible to Account Owners and Admins.
How do I search, filter, or export my user list?
Three icons appear in the top right corner of the user list. They're helpful on accounts with a large number of users.
- Click the search icon to find a specific user by name or username.
- Click the filter icon to narrow the list by status, then select Enabled or Disabled.
- Click the export icon to download your user list.
When a filter is applied, a chip appears above the list showing your current selection. Click the X on the chip to remove the filter and display all users again.
How do I edit a user's information?
Editing a user lets you correct their contact details, change their role, or adjust what they can see in the account.
- Go to the Users page from Settings.
- Click anywhere on the user's row, or click the three-dot menu at the end of the row and select Edit.
- Update any of the following:
- Name, username, phone number, time zone, and email address
- Role level (Account Owner, Admin, or User)
- Privileges, including Can see all broadcasts and Can see all Contact lists
- Click Save.
Note: Admins can change the role of a User or another Admin, but cannot change an Account Owner's role. Only an Account Owner can modify another Account Owner.
How do I change a user's role?
Changing a role updates what a user can access. You can adjust roles at any time between the three types: Account Owner, Admin, and User. See User roles for what each one can do.
- Go to the Users page in Settings.
- Click the user you want to edit.
- Click the radio button next to the role you want them to have.
- Click Save.
Note: The original account creator is always an Account Owner and can only be changed by another Account Owner. An Admin can change a User's or another Admin's role, but not an Account Owner's.
How do I disable a user?
Disabling a user removes their ability to sign in while keeping their history on the account. This is the recommended step when someone leaves your organization or no longer needs access.
- Go to the Users page in Settings.
- Click the three-dot menu at the end of the user's row.
- Select Disable User.
The user will no longer be able to sign in. Their broadcast history and reporting data remain on your account, and their row stays on the Users page with a status of Disabled.
Note: An Account Owner can disable another Account Owner who is no longer with the organization. Admins cannot disable Account Owners.
How do I re-enable a disabled user?
Re-enabling restores the user's original role and privileges, so returning team members and seasonal staff do not need to be set up again.
- Go to the Users page in Settings.
- Click the filter icon and select Disabled.
- Click the three-dot menu at the end of the user's row.
- Select the option to enable the user.
