Contact Group List ID's
List IDs are unique numbers assigned to your contact groups that enable phone-based broadcasting. When you want to send a text or voice broadcast from your phone to a specific group, you'll need to know that group's List ID number. This feature works without internet access and provides quick communication for time-sensitive messages.
How do I find my contact group's List ID?
Your List ID appears next to each contact group in your account. Here's how to locate it:
- Navigate to your Contacts page in your Text-Em-All dashboard
- In the left sidebar, click on the contact group you want to identify
- Look for the information icon (looks like an "i") displayed next to the group name
- The number shown next to this icon is your List ID

How do I change my List ID to a different number?
You can customize your List ID to make it easier to remember when broadcasting from your phone. Follow these steps:
- Go to your Contacts page
- Hover your cursor over the contact group you want to modify
- Click the three-dot menu icon that appears
- Select Edit info from the dropdown menu
- In the edit dialog box, enter your preferred List ID number
- Click Save to confirm your changes

What can I do with List IDs?
Once you know your List IDs, you can use them to launch broadcasts directly from any phone:
- Text broadcasts: Send mass text messages to specific groups without internet access
- Voice broadcasts: Deliver voice messages to entire contact groups from anywhere
- Emergency communications: Quickly reach the right people during urgent situations
- Mobile convenience: Broadcast while traveling or away from your computer
