Where do filtered calls go on a phone?
When a phone filters a call, the call and its voicemail don't disappear; they move to a separate list your contact has to open on purpose.
On both iPhone and Android, a silenced or spam-flagged call skips the main recent-calls view and appears in a filtered list, often without a missed-call notification. This all happens on your contact's phone, so Text-Em-All can’t bypass these filters. If a contact says your call never came through, ask them to look in these places.
Where do filtered calls appear on iPhone?
On iPhone, silenced and spam-flagged calls appear in a separate list rather than the main Recents, and any voicemail is held there as well. Ask your contact to check:
- Open the Phone app and go to Recents.
- If Silence Unknown Callers is on, look for the silenced-calls section, where unknown numbers sent to voicemail are grouped.
- Open Voicemail and scroll for messages from numbers not in their contacts.

Where do filtered calls appear on Android?
On Android's Phone app, calls caught by spam filtering go to a separate spam or filtered-calls list, not the main call history. Ask your contact to check:
- Open the Phone app and tap the three-dot menu.
- Tap Call history, then look for a Spam or Blocked list, or open Settings > Caller ID & spam to see filtered calls.
- Check voicemail for messages from unrecognized numbers.
