Increase Voice Message Length on Get Recording Instructions Page
If your voice message length is shorter than expected there are two possible reasons. Either you do not have enough credits or your Max Recording Length account settings are too low.
Purchase Credits
Credits are consumed based on the number of recipients you have and the length of the message you want to send. If your message length is too long you may need to purchase more credits and update your maximum message length for your broadcast. To resolve this:
Step 1: Buy More Credits
- Click HOME on the top navigation bar
- Click Buy More Credits
Step 2: Update Max Length of Your Pending Broadcast
- From the HOME screen click on your pending broadcast
- Click Edit
- Click the Max Length drop-down menu
- Select your new time length
- Click Save
- Click Get Recording Instructions to verify your updated time
Tip: For more information on how many credits it takes to send a message, read our support article on how credits work.
Update Max Message Length
Under your account's Voice Settings you may adjust the Max Message Length allowed for voice broadcasts. If your max message length setting is too low you may update to a longer length. You will then need to update the time on your pending broadcast. To resolve this:
Step 1: Update Your Account's Max Message Length
- Click the name in the top right corner of your account.
- Click Settings
- Click Voice Settings
- Click Edit on Max Message Length
- Select your preferred length
- Click Save
Step 2: Update Max Length on Your Pending Broadcast
- From the HOME screen click on your pending broadcast
- Click Edit
- Click the Max Length drop-down menu
- Select your time
- Click Save
- Click Get Recording Instructions to verify your updated time
Tip: You may also update your max length on the Get Recording Instructions page. Just click Change Message Length and follow the same directions starting from 2. c.
