Add Contacts to a Group

You may add as many contacts to a group as you need through the Contacts page. This article will walk you through how to add existing and new contacts to your groups. 


Add a single existing contact to a group

You may add contacts to a group by editing the contacts one at a time or by selecting multiple contacts at a time. The following steps will lead you through both options. 

  1. Navigate to your Contacts page
  2. Find the contact you wish to add to a group and click on the contact's name. 
  3. In the contact edit dialog select Groups on the left-hand side.
  4. Click Select Group
  5. Choose which group/s you wish to add the contact to
  6. Click Save


Add multiple contacts to a group

  1. Navigate to your Contacts page
  2. Find the contact you wish to add to a group and click the checkbox next to the contact's phone number.
  3. Select as many contacts as you would like then click the Add to Group icon.
  4. Select the group you wish to add your contacts to.
  5. Alternatively, you may drag and drop your contacts into the desired group once they are selected. 


Upload a file to a group

You may add new and existing contacts directly to a group by uploading a file

  1. Navigate to your Contacts page.
  2. Click the group you wish to add contacts to on the left-hand side.
  3. Click Upload a File
    1. Follow the steps for uploading a file in the dialog

Note: Uploading a file will not alter your existing contacts. If you upload a file to a group that contains existing contacts they will be pulled into the group without generating duplicates. If the file contains new contacts they will be added to the group you select and to the Everyone group.
