How to Create a Sequence
Creating a Sequence consists of four steps:
Step 1: Go to Create Sequence
- Click the Create button at the top of the homepage.
- Select "Sequence (Beta)"
Step 2: Enroll Recipients
- Decide who you want to receive this message. You have three options:
- Add from Contacts - will add numbers that are saved from your CONTACTS section
- Upload a File - allows you to upload a file
- Add Individually - provides a form to enter numbers in manually
- Click Continue
Step 3: Create Sequence
- In the left drawer, give your Sequence a name.
- Sequence names are for your internal organization and do not display to contacts.
- Once your Sequence is created, each broadcast that is created will include the Sequence name.
- For example, if you create a Sequence called "Party Reminders," the first text broadcast in the Sequence will be called "Party Reminders - Text Message 1" automatically.
- In the left drawer, select the Text Number you wish to use if you have more than one.
- In the middle section of the page, choose when the Sequence should start. This start time is when the first message in your Sequence will be sent.
- Select Immediately if you wish for the first message to go out as soon as you complete setup.
- Select Schedule for the future if you wish to select a date and time for the first message to go out.
- Next, type what you want your first text message to say in the section called "Text Message 1."
- To add more steps to your Sequence, click the "+" button.
- Text Message: Add another text message into your Sequence.
- Wait: Tell the Sequence to wait until a specific date and time.
- When finished, click Create Sequence.
Step 4: Review & Submit
- Review the information presented to make sure your Sequence settings are correct.
- Click Schedule Sequence.
- You'll be returned to your Text-Em-All homepage where each text message you created in the Sequence created its own Broadcast that you can track and manage.
