Toll-Free Texting and Registration
What is Toll-Free Number Texting?
Toll-Free number texting allows organizations to send a very high volume of text messages. Toll-free number texting is typically reserved for organizations sending hundreds of thousands of texts per year and can be used in the U.S. and Canada.
If you're not sending texts across the country or sending hundreds of thousands of texts per year, local number texting is the best choice for you.
How do I get a Toll-Free number?
When you create your account, you will be assigned a local number to text from. If your organization thinks it might need a toll-free number, please reach out to our support team at 877-226-3080 or email us at support@text-em-all.com.
If you'd prefer to use your own landline toll-free phone number, fill out this Text-Em-All Letter of Authorization (LOA) and email it to support@text-em-all.com. You can't enable a mobile number for texting. Our team will work with the carriers to text-enable your number.
Do I need to register my toll-free number?
Carriers are tasked with the responsibility of reducing spam messages. In order to reach this goal, the carriers require organizations to register themselves and their traffic. This is a one-time process that will reduce the chance of your messages being blocked accidentally as carriers try to fight spam.
Unlike local number texting, where you register once for your organization, toll-free texting requires each toll-free number you use to be registered with the carriers.
How do I register my toll-free number?
If you have a toll-free text number in your Text-Em-All account that you need to register, simply go to your Text Settings, select the toll-free number you wish to register, and click the three-dot action menu to the right. Click "Register Text Number" to get started.
