Does the monthly plan have message limits?

Here at Text-Em-All, we are always working to give our users as much value as possible. Early on, we saw that there was a major need for a discounted pricing plan that allowed people to send messages to their groups without having to deal with keeping track of credits or incurring huge surprise costs. This article discusses some of the limitations of our Monthly plan.

Is it possible to use the monthly plan too much?

We understand that life happens and some months you'll need Text-Em-All more than you anticipated. However, If a Text-Em-All account has considerably high usage consistently, we'll need to work together to find a pricing plan that enables you to message as often as you need while also covering the cost of those messages.

How many messages are too much?

There is no set number. Remember, we aren't concerned if you have a month of high usage. We are watching for consistently high usage over multiple months which could lead to us needing to increase your pricing.

Here are some great ways to reduce your message volume:

  • Send fewer messages - aim for less than 5-7 per week to each person
  • Send shorter messages - texts longer than 160 characters doubles your message count
  • Segment your contacts - split your contacts into groups and only message relevant groups

Why does Text-Em-All need to limit monthly plans?

We incur costs for sending text messages, including fees for using the networks of other carriers and charges for storing and transmitting data. These costs can vary depending on the number of messages sent and the destinations of the messages. Every message sent has a cost associated with it which is why we can't offer truly unlimited monthly plans for a flat fee.

Is all of this in your Terms of Use?

Yes. Sections 10 & 17 of our Terms of Use cover all of this.
