Enable Browser Notifications

Browser push notifications are used by Text-Em-All to alert you of new inbound messages when you have your account open in your browser, but not focused. This means that if you are looking at your Text-Em-All account in the browser you won't get a browser notification, but if the tab is open in the background you will get a browser notification.

Supported browsers for browser notifications

  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Firefox

How to allow browser notifications

When first enabling browser notifications many browsers will ask your permission to allow notifications. It will look something like this image: If you see the following message in the app you will need to manually adjust your browser's settings to give permission.

Most browsers will allow you to click a small lock icon in the top navigation bar where you type in web addresses. Click here to allow notifications. Each browser may be slightly different in how this looks.

In some rare cases, you may need to open your browser's Settings page to allow notifications. Check your browser's support documentation to learn how to allow browser notifications.
